  • 2-4 cups of ( goat or cow ) milk
  • 1 glass jar
  • A non-metal stirring utensil
  • A breathable cover for the jar such as a paper towel
  • A band to secure the cover to the jar

Homemade Kefir Recipe

  1. Put Kefir Grains in a glass jar and pour in the milk
  2. Cover the jar with a breathable cover and secure it with a rubber band
  3. Place in a warm spot, 68°- 85° F
  4. Leave it to culture for 24 hours ( in warmer temperatures it takes less )
  5. Every few hours shake the glass
  6. When the milk changes the texture, separate Kefir Grains from the finished Kefir
  7. Place the kefir grains in a new batch of milk

It could take a couple of batches for grains to wake up!

Where Do You Get Vitamin D From

Vitamin D is produced in the skin when it is exposed to sunlight. Studies suggest that people who don’t get enough vitamin D may be at increased risk for asthma.
